Nursery TeamWe believe Footsteps Pre-Nursery is different to other local pre-nurseries in our approach and attitude. The children are at the very centre of everything we do, and because Footsteps is a registered charity rather than a private business we invest all of the fees and funds raised back into resources, equipment and excellent staffing.
All of our staff are fully qualified, extremely professional and greatly experienced.
They are registered with Ofsted, DBS checked and attend regular training courses. They are always available to talk with you about any issue, no matter how small. They will always keep you fully informed about your child’s progress.
We choose our staff very carefully because we know as parents just how important the way staff interact with the children in their care is.
Our most recent Ofsted report said:
“The staff and committee have strong relationships with parents.”
“Parents speak highly of the well-established staff team”

I am no stranger to working with young children and have run my own Pre-school nursery for over 15 years. I then went on to specialise in children with special needs, working as a home visitor supporting parents and children. I have the Pre-school Alliances Diploma in Pre-school Practice and many other qualifications related to child education. I believe that children learn through play and this should be fun! I am the mother of two (now grown-up) daughters.
